SUBSTANCE: invention is related to heating elements used in devices for hair straightening, and in particular, represents a heating plate, which is placed into a flat iron. The invention objective is development of a unified functional unit with the required heating temperature achieved in a short period of time. A heating plate for a flat iron is proposed, which according to the invention comprises a body made of a pair of electric insulating ceramic plates, on one of which there is a strip for arrangement of electroconductive material with external connection. Besides, one of the plates has a coating from polished material. At the same time the plate body has elements providing for its connection with a structure of the flat iron support. Also a method is proposed to manufacture a heating plate for the flat iron, according to which the ceramic powder is prepared, with simultaneous grinding of dispersers with subsequent addition of a dissolvent, a binder and a plasticiser in it. The mixture is placed into moulds after it acquires the required extent of viscosity, the mixture is hardened, plates are cut, resistors are made in them by the method of serigraphy, plates are laminated under pressure, modules of the specified shape are cut, the produced modules are sintered, contact terminals are soldered, and a polished coating is applied selectively onto the produced modules.

EFFECT: development of the device providing for conditions of the required temperature of heating in a short period of time.
