FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and concerns methods of hair growth modulation by a hair growth cycle period, and an apparatus for implementation thereof. An area surrounding hair roots of an individual is exposed to modulating light at wave length 400 nm to 600 nm and power 0.01 J/cm2 to 1 J/cm2. Thus for the purpose of hair removal, the growth cycle shall be in a growth period, for hair growth - at rest. The range of irradiating wave lengths is 900 nm to 1500 nm. The hair removal and growth apparatus comprises a light emitter integrated to emit said modulating light, particularly, with wave length distribution within 400 nm to 600 nm; a measuring device used to measure an absorption spectrum which is absorbed by a human body exposed to this light; a control unit comparing a peak value of an absorption coefficient in said spectrum, with the absorption coefficient at a specific wave length for regulation of modulating light power and a period of exposure time.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides the absence of side effects in hair growth modulation.
