FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a glass article with a low-emission coating. The coated article has a coating applied on a glass substrate, where the coating contains: first and second infrared-reflecting layers containing silver, wherein said infrared-reflecting layers are separated from each other by at least one dielectric layer lying between them, and wherein said first infrared-reflecting layer lies closer to the substrate than the second infrared-reflecting layer; an essentially metallic absorbing layer virtually consisting of NiCr, lying such that the first as well as the second infrared-reflecting layer lies above this absorbing layer, where the absorbing layer is placed between and is in contact with the first and second layers containing silicon nitride. Said essentially metallic absorbing layer has thickness of approximately 20-30 angstrom (E), and the coated article has colour value a* for reflection from the glass side ranging from approximately +1 to -1.5 with viewing angle of 45 degrees from the normal.
EFFECT: neutralisation of colour at off-axis viewing angles.
