SUBSTANCE: wireless device squares a combined signal bearing a useful signal RX and a leakage signal TX. For instance, the device can include a device which demonstrates strong second-order nonlinearity in order to essentially square a combined signal. The device subtracts the squared signal from the output signal of a mixer in a receiving channel, thus eliminating at least part of second-order distortion caused by the mixer. That way, the device can reduce adverse effects of second-order distortion from signal leakage TX, thus amplifying or maintaining sensitivity of the receiver.

EFFECT: reduction and elimination of second-order distortion from leakage of a transmitted signal.
