FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to orthodontic dentistry, and is intended for analysis of diagnostic models. Impressions of upper and lower jaws are made. Gypsum diagnostic models are cast. On gypsum diagnostic model of upper jaw on median palatine suture applied are line R and transverse to it line P, oriented through centre of incisal papilla. Additionally applied are lines of segments from the centre of alveolar process on transverse line to distal approximal surface of the most distally located tooth, designating them Lur and left Lul. Transverse line is projected on gypsum diagnostic model of lower jaw and lines of segments Llr and Lll are applied. Lengths of segments of the same name are compared before, at the stages and after treatment. If segment length increases, distal displacement of teeth is determined, if length of segment decreases, mesial displacement of teeth is diagnosed. On segment lines mark of each tooth of segment location is applied from the centre of alveolar process on transverse line to the middle of its distal approximal contact surface. Their positions before, at the stages and after orthodontic treatment are compared and direction and value of each tooth displacement are determined.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to plan direction and value of teeth displacement in orthodontic treatment due to comparison of numerical data of lateral segments and separate teeth of lateral segments before, in process and after their orthodontic treatment.
