APPARATUS FOR TREATING GNATIC SHAPE DISTAL OCCLUSION IN ADOLESCENTS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61C7/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to orthodontic section dentistry, and can be used for treating gnatic form of distal occlusion caused by underdeveloped and/or retro position of lower jaw in adolescents in age active growth of jaws: in girls - in 10-14 years old, in boys in 12-16 years. Apparatus for treating gnatic form of distal occlusion in adolescents consists of upper and lower jaw bases. Upper jaw base has middle cut, starting with palatal surface between central cutters. Part of basis for upper jaw are connected with screw. Bases for upper and lower jaws have occlusal onlays, upper jaw base on second premolars and molars, while lower jaw base on all premolars and parallel adjoining inclination planes extending downward and backwards. Upper jaw base has extra crosscutting passing at level of interdental space between the second and first pre-molars and first molars dividing base into four sectors. Front sectors are connected to each other in area of middle section by expanding screw, and front and rear sectors in area of cross-cut are interconnected by two sector jack-screws. Lower jaw base has two sawings, passing on crown canines and dividing base into three sectors-front and two side connected to each other by sector jack-screws. Additionally, upper jaw base has vestibular arch, and lower jaw base comprises braced lip bandages armed in its back sector and connected to each other with clip.

EFFECT: invention enables to optimise growth underdeveloped and shifted backward lower jaw, restrains growth of upper jaw, adjusted axial position of top cutters with elimination of their protrusion, as well as distally shift teeth side segments of upper jaw.
