SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthodontic dentistry, and can be used for selecting a version of orthodontic treatment with crowded teeth in the central denture. It involves computer-aided tomography of the jaws. Apical base of jaws is measured. Thickness of the cortical plate of the oral and vestibular sides and the thickness of the roots of the central teeth are determined. Coefficient K is calculated by the claimed formula. Depending on the K value, a version of the orthodontic treatment is determined.

EFFECT: method enables simple and fast determination of a version of orthodontic treatment accompanying dental crowding by evaluating a complex of the most significant parameters.
