FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for production of antimicrobial stabilised particles of metal salts. The method includes production of the first solution containing a salt precursor and production of the second solution containing a complex made of a reagent metal and a dispersing reagent in an efficient amount that provides for stabilisation of particles size. Then the second solution is added to the first solution with speed sufficient to preserve solution transparency during the whole process of addition, to make a resulting solution containing stabilised particles of a metal salt with average particle size of less than 200 nm. The produced solution is dried to produce an antimicrobial powder of a metal salt containing from 0.01 to around 10% of metal in weight. In a particular case of invention realisation, a salt precursor may represent a sodium iodide (NaJ), the complex may be produced from a silver nitrate (AgNO3) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and the produced antimicrobial powder represents a silver iodide (AgJ).
EFFECT: development of an efficient method for production of antimicrobial stabilised particles of metal salts.
