FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, specifically to a method of producing poviargol containing finely dispersed silver, stabilized by a protective polymer, which is poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone-2, by chemical reduction of silver nitrate in a solvent in an inert gas atmosphere while heating, followed by drying. In compliance with proposed method aqueous solution of silver nitrate is added to preheated to 98 °C aqueous solution of poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone-2 with molecular weight in range from 5·103 to 40⋅103 Da, then reaction mixture is held at 98–102 °C for 5–30 minutes, wherein the process is carried out under natural or artificial illumination.

EFFECT: invention provides obtaining poviargol with high output, as well as reducing time and simplifying conditions for carrying out the method.
