FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to designs of contact plates for mass-transfer apparatuses and may be used in chemical industry, hydraulic metallurgy and other industries. A contact device comprises a horizontal sheet and guide elements. Each guide element is made in the form of two convex surfaces arranged one above the other and having three openings near the base each. Openings near the base are displaced relative to each other by 120°, and openings of the upper surface are displaced relative to openings of the lower surface by 60°. Guide elements are distributed on the sheet so that openings of each guide element are arranged opposite to gaps between openings of other guide elements.
EFFECT: using for operation in a wide range of loads by gas (steam) phase with low liquid loss and low hydraulic resistance.
