FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator for centrifuging components contained in liquid mixtures and having different density, comprises a rotating rotor, which is made with the possibility of rotation around the central axis, a body that forms an inner separating space, a set of separating discs, which are arranged in the inner separating space of the rotor. The centrifugal separator comprises at least two channels, which are connected with the separating space. Channels comprise at least one inlet channel to supply a liquid mixture of separated components to the separating space and at least one outlet channel for discharge of a component separated in process of treatment from the separating space. The centrifugal separator comprises an element of torque transfer arranged around the central axis and rigidly connected to the rotor of the centrifugal separator, and a driving motor, which rotates the torque element and the centrifugal separator rotor. The driving motor comprises a stator and a rotor, which is rigidly connected to the torque transfer element. The driving motor rotor surrounds a cavity made with the possibility of liquid passage through it during operation of the centrifugal separator. The cavity forms at least one inlet channel or one outlet channel. The driving motor is arranged in axial direction behind the rotor of the centrifugal separator in direction of the central axis.
EFFECT: development of a centrifugal separator providing for high availability of the inner separating space and having compact design.
