FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for determination of a rolling force in a rolling mill and to a rolling mill. The method to determine a rolling force in a rolling mill, comprising at least one roller, journals (or shafts) of which are installed with the possibility of rotation in eccentric bushings, besides, the eccentric bushings are installed with the possibility of rotation in a rolling mill body, and supports of eccentric bushings are bearings with small losses for friction, and there is an adjustment mechanism made as capable of putting a setting force to an eccentric bushing to rotate the latter relative to the body, in which it is installed, and holding it in the desired position, includes stages of measurement of the setting force effective in the adjustment mechanism, when the eccentric bushing is held in the desired position, and determination of the rolling force using the measured setting force. The rolling mill comprises a measurement device for measurement of a setting force.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to set rollers against the rolling force, increased accuracy of rolling force measurement and reduced operating costs.
