FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisation of handling operations. Chain gripper comprises chain passed through gripper opening for it to be locked therein. Proposed grippes represents a right parallelepiped made from metal plate, or a rectangle with rounded angles with thickness not below 10 mm and two openings spaced apart on wider section of said plate and representing those with perpendicular, notches for pitch chain. Said openings communicate with said holes and are arranged on opposite sides thereof. One of said openings has perpendicular notch in one plane to grip one link of chain and to lock another link located perpendicular to gripped link while another opening has notch in opposite plane to grip one link of chain and to lock another link located perpendicular to gripped link. Gripper is provided with handle, while chain perpendicular gripping planes have different diameter openings interconnected by stranded wire locked by knot on gripper and connected with crossbeam by its opposite end.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of slinging jobs.
