FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanization of loading, transporting and unloading operations and can be used in coal industry for lifting/lowering and transfer of cargo in mine workings. When slinging cargoes in a mine working equipped with a monorail and hydraulic lifts with working traverses, the cargo movement is started due to movement of the lifting and transporting device along the monorail. On the hydraulic lifters by the consoles, two auxiliary traverses are fixed on the chains with a double-sided mechanism for reducing or increasing the length of working slings, located to the left and to the right of the working traverse, determining the load centre of gravity, installing the hydraulic lift so that the working beam is located above the load centre of gravity along the vertical axis, inserted into the levelling blocks slings, ends of working slings are fixed behind the drum of mechanisms for reduction or increase of length and are wound with a large margin on it on the auxiliary traverse. Working crossbar is lowered until blocks on working crossbar and in cargo slinging places are aligned. Slings are tensioned at four points by mechanisms of working slings length reduction on two auxiliary traverses with double-sided mechanism of working slings length reduction or increase. Then one-stage lifting and movement of load is performed along workings.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of cargo handling operations, labour productivity, elimination of manual tensioning operations, reduction or elongation of working slings, reduced wear of equipment, higher labour safety, reduced risks of injury.
