FIELD: gas and oil production.
SUBSTANCE: circular self-packing unit is used for packing between two circular surfaces. The packing unit consists of a circular base equipped with packing surface. The packing unit also includes a pair of spaced collars diverging in opposite directions from the circular base and located opposite packing surface of the base; collars also have packing surfaces. The base is elastically deformed. The collars are also elastically deformed relative to the base thus performing self-packing between two circular surfaces.
EFFECT: elastic-deformed packing unit facilitates tight packing surfaces adjoining and sufficient contact pressure on packing surfaces maintaining packing under any conditions.
