FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining ball powders for smooth-bore guns involves treatment of porous ball powder with sizes of powder elements of 0.4…0.7 mm and humidity of 4.0…8.0 wt % in rotating polishing barrel with fine graphite C-1 with particle sizes of 0.1…4.0 mcm in quantity of 0.15…0.30 wt % and water in quantity of 0.15…0.30 wt % in relation to powder during 50…60 minutes; after that, powder is dried to humidity of 0.8…1.2 wt % by means of known method.
EFFECT: increasing moisture resistance of porous ball powders used for loading of shot-gun hunting and sports cartridges to smooth-bore gun.
