FIELD: explosives. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacture of various-type gun cartridge powders. Method includes preparing powder elements 0.2- 0.7 mm in size, squeezing powder elements to remove water, preliminarily drying them to 2-15% moisture, rolling elements into plates 0.05-0.18 mm thick at 15-55 C, fractionation, final drying to 0.8-1.0% moisture, and averaging physicochemical characteristics through stirring, provided that, before rolling operation, powder elements are treated in 1.0-10.0% (by weight) solutions of infinitely water-soluble solvents, in particular cellulose nitrate plasticizers. EFFECT: enabled manufacturing high-quality monobasic pyroxyline and dibasic spherical powders with specified pore structure. 4 tbl
