FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of porous spherical powders for small arm, particularly, for smooth-bore gun shot cartridges. Proposed method comprises dissolving powder mass consisting of nitro cotton "H" with content of nitrogen oxide of 189-194.5 ml NO/g and nitroglycerine in water with solvent consisting of ethyl acetate and acetone, and adding leather glue and extra amount of water. Then, powder lacquer is prepared to be dispersed into spherical particles and stripping solvent therefrom.
EFFECT: production of porous spherical powders.
