FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurosurgery, anesthesiology, rehabilitation. Intracranial pressure (ICP) is measured for patients with acute intracranial hemorrhage. For stable unreductable increase of ICP to 20 mm Hg and higher, IV push of hyperosmolar solution is performed for 15-20 minutes. One dosage of hyperosmolar solution comprises 400 ml of 15% mannitol solution or 250 ml of 7.2% sodium chloride solution in 6% hydroxyethyl starch at 200/0.5 ratio. If ICP is not reduced within 24 hours after administration of 2 or more dosages at the background of standard ICP correction actions then uncontrolled intracranial hypertension requiring decompression trepanation of scull is diagnosed.
EFFECT: increased reliability of diagnostics of uncontrolled intracranial hypertension requiring decompression trepanation of scull for patients with intracranial hemorrhage.
