FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmosurgery and can be used in implantation of a three-part S-curved intraocular lens (IOL) with suture fixation to an iris in the absence of capsular support. Before implantation of the lens, a distal end of one support element of the lens is folded in a crossover point with its longitudinal axis of the lens. The distal end is folded to a plane of this support element towards an optical part of the lens and at an angle 90 ' to a standard direction of the distal end. A support element is brought behind the iris and fixed by a suture to the iris with the second support element left in a tunnel incision. The remained part of the lens is brought behind the iris, and an instrument, e.g. a hook, is brought closer under the optical part of the lens; the lens is aligned with the optics being pressed upwards; the second support element is sutured with the sutures being arranged on the second support element; the sutures are spaced at 2.5-3.5 mm from a pupil border keeping a stitch length 1-1.5 mm.

EFFECT: method provides reliable suture fixation of the S-curved three-part lens, making the pupil rounded and preserving postoperative diaphragming function of the that allows eliminating operative complications, maintaining normal pupillary response to light.
