FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. The intraocular lens is fixed to the iris, while at least one haptic element of the intraocular lens is sutured to the iris. In the projection of the haptic element, a needle with a 9-0 polypropylene thread is used to make the first puncture in the iris from the outside inward at a distance of 1 mm from the edge of the haptic element. A thread with a needle is passed under the haptic element and on its other side at a distance of 1 mm from the edge. The second puncture is performed from the inside out, after which paracentesis is performed between the iris punctures in the cornea, into which the ends of the threads are brought out, which, holding together, are pulled up and melted with a coagulator until a single spherical formation is formed, which is tucked into the anterior chamber. In a particular case, iris punctures are carried out at a distance of 1.5-2.5 mm from the pupillary edge.

EFFECT: method allows to simplify the technique of suture fixation of the intraocular lens to the iris, reduce the risk of deformation of the iris and pupil.
