SUBSTANCE: invention concerns veterinary science. A method for making a follicle-stimulating hormone preparation of animal adenohypophysis, involves homogenisation, extraction, sedimentation of ballast proteins, recovery and concentration of the hormone, with adenohypophysis homogenised in the ratio 1:6-1:7 in the presence of a buffer solution pH 7.0-7.5 containing 0.89-0.90% of sodium chloride, 3.2-3.4% ammonium sulphate, 0.1% of the surface-active substance Tween-80, the rest - water, and the hormone is concentrated by freezing of the mixture at 5°C/hour followed by thawing and separation of a soluble phase containing the follicle-stimulating hormone.
EFFECT: invention provides higher biological activity of the produced follicle-stimulating hormone preparation.
