FIELD: fire fighting facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of fire extinguishing at peat deposits. The method consists of drilling a horizontal or slant wells depending on the depth of combustion source relative to the earth's surface, and its size and supply of water or any special liquid through the drill string directly into the combustion source, and use of casing string in the drilled wells for extinguishing subsequent fires.
EFFECT: elimination of combustion sources at any depth of their occurrence regardless of area of distribution.
