FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for cutting mineral wool material into preset-length pieces in continuous production process. Proposed device comprises two round saws suspended to make pendulum motion and driven by separate drives, and slides actuated by separate dives to control suspension position and saw drive in direction of material feed. To actuate drive of slides, saws, pendulum assembly, and belt conveyor, servo motors are used. Said conveyor is lowered by assembly changing direction in appropriate area of saws. Saws are driven along double cycloid path. Material is cut in compliance with cutters efficiency and material feed rate automatically by controller incorporating machine-readable data carrier with software program code.
EFFECT: fast and reliable cutting in continuous production process.
