FIELD: machine tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine tools, namely to devices for band sawing machines for cutting various materials, such as metals, and can be used in experimental studies of the cutting process on band saws. The machine contains a saw frame, two discs, one of which is driven, and the other is tensioning, located on the saw frame, a band saw tensioned on the said discs, a stabilizing element for damping the vibration of the band saw and two guides for the band saw, turning it perpendicular to the workpiece plane in cutting area and mounted on the saw frame. In this case, the stabilizing element consists of a base, placed on the saw frame, and a worm installed in it by means of two sliding bearings, having a partition in the center that separates the left-hand and right-hand trapezoidal screw surfaces, while the left-hand and right-hand screw surfaces are mated, respectively, with the left and right toothed racks, each of which is installed in T-shaped grooves with the possibility of reciprocating movements along them, and on each toothed rack there is a rack with a fixed magnet with a magnetic energy of 358-414 kJ/m3, while the magnets are installed with the same poles to each other at an equidistant from the saw blade at a distance of 2-15 mm.
EFFECT: rigidity and durability of the tool is increased by reducing the vibration of the band saw tool and, as a consequence, a decrease in the intensity of the sound radiation of the saw at the time of cutting in the very source of the occurrence of sound waves, as well as an increase in efficiency.
