FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to moulding from polymer melt, particular, from monovinyl aromatic polymers heated by microwave radiation. It covers moulding from polymer melt, particular, from monovinyl aromatic compound such as styrene. Proposed method comprises heating aforesaid compound in a mould by microwave radiation. Note here that said polymer comprise disperse rubber phase and continuous poly(monovinyl aromatic) phase containing up to 49 wt % of acrylate comonomer and vinyl cyanidine comonomer.
EFFECT: production impact-resistant polystyrenes to be processed by microwave heating.
