FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of glased ceramic articles, mainly for decorative and art purposes. The method of glasing ceramic articles involves preparation of a glase suspension, applying a layer of the suspension onto the articles, drying and firing. Before drying, powder with specific surface area 3000-6000 cm2/g is applied onto the layer of the glase suspension, said powder being obtained by grinding at least one mineral containing a variable valence metal compound. The mineral used to obtain the powder is calaite and/or malachite, and/or haematite, and/or chromite, and/or siderite, and/or serpentine, and/or jasper.
EFFECT: low cost and easier production of the articles.
