FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: in production plant for production or processing of liquid, red-hot or hot metal (2, 6), namely blast furnace or rolling mill, in the environment of liquid or red-hot metal there formed is zone (B1, B2) of safety, in which the presence of a person at least partially is not permitted. Detector unit (10, 12, 14, 16A, 16B) is provided for monitoring of this zone, which detects electromagnetic radiation emitted from the present person or absence of electromagnetic radiation interrupted with the present person. Besides, there is evaluation unit (22) that detects the presence of a person from output data of detector unit (10, 12, 14, 16A, 16B), as well as monitoring unit (24) connected to evaluation unit (22), which in case of the person's presence in zone (B1) intended to provide the safety automatically actuates the action aimed against the person's presence. Due to formation of several zones (B1, B2, B3) intended to provide the safety with different hazard levels the smooth stop of production plant (1) is possible.
EFFECT: simplifying the design of safety ensuring devices.
