FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: saturating layer is formed by pressing the mixture containing nanopowder of diamond, graphite and silicon in quantity sufficient for saturation of diamond mass; diamond mass is heated with saturating layer at pressure of not less than 2.5 GPa to the temperature which is enough for silicon melting, and exposed at this temperature. As diamond mass there used is mixture of powders of synthetic diamond with grain size of 20-30 mcm in quantity of 55-75% of the weight of mixture and natural diamond with grain size of 10-20 mcm in quantity of 25-45% of the mixture weight.

EFFECT: homogeneity of composite material and its strength.
