FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: method to estimate completeness of explosive substance (ES) detonation includes excitation in an impact wave attenuator for detonation of the ES charge arranged behind it, photorecording of initial speed of the impact wave in air and detection of parameters of an initiating impact wave. At the same time the ES charge is enclosed into a closed attenuator shell, exploded with the help of a detonating fuse, critical parameters of this ES charge detonation are recorded in this attenuator shell, value is determined for a parameter of this ES charge initiation completeness, detonation of a similar ES charge is caused by affecting the attenuator shell with an initiating element, parameters of such ES charge detonation are recorded and measured, value of such ES charge initiation completeness is determined, values of initiation completeness parameters are compared for this and similar ES, results of comparison are used to judge on extent of such ES charge initiation completeness as a result of initiating element impact. Also a device is disclosed for realisation of the proposed method, comprising an ES charge, an attenuator and a recording device arranged behind the attenuator.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of explosive charge detonation parameters measurement.
