FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of assessing the effect of acoustic oscillations on fluidity of a gel-like medium in the near-wall layer of a pipeline involves placing a piece of the pipe into the analysed medium and establishing the required temperature. The method also involves measuring maximum force of rotary displacement of the piece of the pipe under the effect of an external force applied at a tangent to its cylindrical surface, normalisation of the maximum force of rotary displacement on the initial temperature of the gel-like medium. Maximum displacement is measured twice - while exciting the walls of the pipe from the side of the free end of the pipe using longitudinal acoustic oscillations and without excitation. The effect of acoustic oscillations on fluidity of the gel-like medium is evaluated by comparing the obtained values.
EFFECT: simplification and broader functional capabilities of the method and apparatus for assessing the effect of shearing acoustic oscillations on fluidity of gel-like media.
