SUBSTANCE: device to synthesise an output signal comprises a decorrelator (356) and a convergence assembly (364). The decorrelator (356) provides for a decorrelated single-channel signal or decorrelated signals of the first and second channels on the basis of a step-down mixing signal, which contains signals of step-down mixing of the first and second audio objects, and is a result of step-down mixing of multiple signals of audio objects in compliance with information on step-down mixing (354). The convergence assembly (364) performs weighted convergence of a step-down mixing signal (352) and a decorrelated signal (358) with application of weight ratios (P, Q, C0, G), calculation of which is carried out on the basis of data on step-down mixing (354), specified characteristics of audio rendering (360), determining a virtual position of audio objects in a virtual sound space, and parametric data on audio objects (362), which describe these audio objects.
EFFECT: development of a method for audio object coding, in which quality of objects reproduction in a stereo soundtrack will be most close to reference stereo sound transfer.
