FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of processing includes pre-treatment of liquid radioactive wastes (LRW) at mechanical and ultrafilters, treatment of purified liquid radioactive wastes with the help of reverse-osmosis filters and two intermediate reservoirs alternately in desalting mode with filtrate post-treatment. Reverse-osmosis desalting to salt content of not more than 0.2 g/l and concentration down to salt content of at least 50 g/l is carried out separately in various reverse-osmosis filters with direction of the filtrate from a concentrating reverse-osmosis filter into the first intermediate reservoir. Concentrate of a desalting reverse osmosis filter - into the second intermediate reservoir with a settling reactor. Periods of LRW processing and reagent flushing of reverse osmosis elements of desalting and concentrating filters are alternated. After each flushing of the filter, the spent flushing solution is additionally fortified with reagents and is used for flushing of the next filter until content of hardness salts in the spent solution is same as in the concentrate of liquid radioactive wastes with salt content of at least 50 g/l, with subsequent direction of the spent solution for cementing.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of LRW treatment plant and to reduce volume of radioactive spent regenerative flushing solutions.
