METHOD OF PROCESSING LOW- AND MEDIUM-MINERALIZED LOW-LEVEL LIQUID RADIOACTIVE WASTES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G21F9/00

Abstract RU 2696016 C1

FIELD: waste processing and disposal.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to processing of liquid radioactive wastes (LRW) by membrane-sorption methods. Method of processing low- and medium-mineralized low-level liquid radioactive wastes involves preliminary cleaning by feeding liquid radioactive wastes using a first low-pressure pump. Thermoregulated reagent flushing of the reverse-osmosis filter is performed by means of a washing solution preheated to the specified temperature by supplying the solution from the flushing solution preparation tank with a second low-pressure pump through a mechanical microfilter to the inlet of the high-pressure pump. All media are directed during processing through remotely controlled solenoid valves, in tanks for preparation of washing reagent solution. Levels of filling and emptying are controlled by means of signaling devices of upper and lower levels and temperature of solution. Controlled information is sent through the information generation elements and the control units information processing elements to their indication elements. There is also a device for processing low- and medium-mineralized low-level liquid radioactive wastes.

EFFECT: group of invention enables remote control of processing liquid radioactive wastes and washing of the reverse-osmosis filter.
