FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises one band guiding frame with flat band guiding channel and drive to feed band into said channel. Said frame accommodates device to open narrow side of said channel while said drive may move from first position whereat band is fed thereto into second position whereat loop being formed is tightened around the articles, cut off the roll and its ends are jointed together. Prior to jointing together said ends, the band is fed again form the roll into said channel to form another loop. Note here that said opening device comprises, at least, one closing element secured on fixed frame to move from closed position whereat it closes the channel narrow side into open position whereat it opens said side. Besides, one extractor is arranged on said frame to push said loop from the channel via its open side when opening device is open. Proposed method comprises feeding the band from roll by drive toward band guiding channel of said band guiding frame to make the loop, opening channel narrow side to allow the band pass through said narrow side, tightening the loop around the article, cutting the loop off the roll to joint loop ends together. Prior to jointing together said ends, the band is fed again form the roll into said channel to form another loop. Note here that said opening device comprises, at least, one closing element secured on fixed frame to move from closed position whereat it closes the channel narrow side into open position whereat it opens said side. Proposed method uses above described devices and loop extractor.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
