SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extruded strapping tape which may be welded with itself, which includes renewable material, as well as method of its production and method of strapping object. Said renewable material is a polylactic acid (PLA), which at least 90% consists of L-lactic acid, wherein renewable material is modified with a binding agent, selected from a group including maleic acid derivatives, glycidyl methacrylate derivatives and methacrylic acid derivatives, organosilicon compounds, vinyl acetate derivatives or mixture of said compounds.
EFFECT: strapping tape according to invention is biologically degradable, is resistant to hydrolysis and to tension, and is form-stable when heated.
