FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for obtaining synthetic liquid hydrocarbons by catalytic conversion of synthesis gas according to Fischer-Tropsch reaction on fixed layer of catalyst in vertical shell-and-tube reactor with supply of heat carrier to the shell; when the conversion degree of synthesis gas of 60 to 80% is achieved, the pressure gradient is lowered to the value of less than 0.1 bar/m and maintained on this level during the whole process. Invention also refers to the reactor for carrying out Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
EFFECT: achieving optimum temperature range in catalyst layer, which corresponds to improvement of heat and mass transfer at simultaneous elimination of flooding of tubes with catalyst with liquid reaction products.
