SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of instantaneous values of current and voltage force, periodical or permanent performance of spectral analysis of current and voltage signals in the range of frequencies from 1 Hz to 30 kHz, data digitisation, determination of phase shift between identical harmonic components of current and voltage signals, establishment of speed of amplitude change of harmonic components of current signals by means of calculation of an appropriate differential function, at the same time PEO control is started at the current force value that complies with the maximum value of amplitude change speed of harmonic components of current signals in the area of least values of phase shift between identical harmonic components of current and voltage signals, and it is carried out at increasing pulsating voltage, current force value is maintained not less than the one established in the beginning of control, and the moment of PEO process completion is set by minimum value of amplitude change speed in harmonic components of current signals at increasing values of phase shift between identical harmonic components of current and voltage signals.
EFFECT: improved quality of coating with simultaneous reduction of power consumption.
