FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: reinforced sleeper, made of reinforced concrete, prestressed with higher shearing resistance in ballast comprises two pad parts and a middle part that are symmetrically arranged. Ratio of width of each sleeper pad part between end walls along the rail track axis and distance between sleeper axes makes 0.8 - 0.9. Ratio of length of each pad part along the sleeper axis and distance between axes of sleepers makes accordingly 1.2 - 1.3. End walls of sleeper pads comprises locking joints. Locking joints connect neighbouring sleepers with the possibility to restrict longitudinal and transverse displacement of sleepers from effective loads during vehicle movement and temperature deformations. After assembly on the track, locking joints are filled with elastic material that provides for their mutual replacement.
EFFECT: maximum increased width and length of a sleeper in its pad part, reduced specific load at ballast as vehicles pass by, increased resistance of the track due to increased shearing resistance in the ballast, fixation of sleepers along their longitudinal axis and relative to each other.
