PACKER-PLUG Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC E21B33/12 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: packer-plug includes shaft, sealing element, fixing device of position of sealing element, the main and additional cones and slips, plug-in assembly, fixing balls, stop ring and limit stop. Cylindrical bore of the shaft has annular recess at the top for cylindrical projection of plug-in assembly located between bursting element and retaining ring. In the shaft opposite annular extension there made are radial channels covered on the outside with stock of setting tool in transport position, and additional cone is made in the form of several dies for additional slips. In the main cone there made on the inner side is cylindrical recess with orifice hole at the top, and limit stop is made in the form of shaft thickening with cylindrical expansion at the top for tight restricted upward movement along the recess. Limit stop has the possibility of interacting with dies of additional cone in transport position and being located above additional cone at removal of packer-plug after the restricted movement of plug-in assembly upwards relative to the shaft; at that, shaft from below is equipped with retaining ring with shear pin.

EFFECT: reliability of fixation of packer-plug in the well at high pressures; elimination of jamming of packer-plug at its breakage in the well; reduction of force and shortening the time of packer releasing.
