FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making zircon-based refractory ceramic articles and can be used in producing refractory materials and articles in metallurgy, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The material contains zircon and yttrium oxide, with the following ratio of ingredients in wt %: zircon - 97.0-99.1; yttrium oxide - 0.9-3.0. The zircon contains aluminium oxide in amount of 1.0-1.2 wt %.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a zircon-based refractory ceramic, having high density and resistance to thermal dissociation at high temperatures.
