FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: hardware-software system (HSS) has an ocean-bottom station (OS) initialising unit, a hydroacoustics unit with a hydroacoustic antenna, a navigation unit, a seismic information reading and reformatting unit, an interface for communicating with the OS and a central control unit. The HSS is additionally equipped with a unit for automating positioning of the OS in water and a unit for controlling seismic excitation, having a pneumatic source controller. The OS initialising unit additionally has a container with cells for the OS, equipped with light signalling, a switching unit connected with the interface for communicating with the OS and a control computer. The central control unit is connected in two-way signal exchange mode with the unit automating positioning of the OS in water, with the navigation unit, with the hydroacoustic unit, with the unit for controlling seismic excitation and with the seismic information reading and reformatting unit.
EFFECT: broader functionalities of the HSS.
