FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: auxiliary call management component connected to a computer system alerts the computer system on an incoming call if the computer system is not able to process the incoming call. When the auxiliary call management component receives an incoming call, it determines whether the associated computer system is in a suitable condition for processing (e.g., "receiving") the incoming call. If the computer system is not in a suitable condition, the auxiliary call management component receives the incoming call, transmits a signal to the computer system to switch to a suitable state and informs the computer system on the incoming call. The computer system switched to the suitable state can retrieve the incoming call in order to enable the user to receive the incoming call on the computer system.
EFFECT: possibility of interaction over the telephone on a personal computer when the personal computer is in hibernation mode or switched off.
