FIELD: mercury removal.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to mercury removal from different media. The invention is represented by mercury absorber. It contains metallic sulphide, material of carrier, first binding and second binding substances. The first binding substance is a cement binding and the second binding is attapulgite binding with high particle dimension ratio equal to more than 2. The invention also includes the method of absorber production and the method of mercury removal from mercury-containing flow by its contact with aforementioned absorber.
EFFECT: increase of breaking resistance of mercury absorber and maintenance of its abrasion resistance.
