FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: device refers to the compressing and can be used for radial compressor designing. In radical compressor's axial bearer self-controlling unloading method with the operational wheel arrangement "back-to-back" and with unloading device (dummy piston) located between the sections by changing of pressure fall on the loading unit, according to the device of the pressure change on the unloading equipment, it is done by performing the gas flow-over from the space behind the high pressure final stage section diffuser to the low-pressure section at its flow through metering hole (diameter D0) in dividing inter-sectional wall directed perpendicular to the dummy piston's cross-cut end, at that the relation (h/D0) distance (h) from the metering holes' outlet section to the dummy piston's frontal surface to diameter (D0) of each metering hole is selected to be equal 0,03-0,15. Any rotor's allocation leads to pressure change in interstice of the unloading unit low-pressure section which returns the rotor to the initial position.
EFFECT: increased reliability and rapidity of action of axial force control and decreased load on the axial bearer in a multimode two-unit compressors.
