FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes manufacturing of a 2-5 mm wide “sample disk” from an armoured solid rocket fuel grain and testing the said “sample disk” on a MRS-500 breaking machine. The “sample disk” is positioned in a cup-like device with inner flanging, the diameter of this flanging corresponds to the diameter of the fuel grain, and the inner diameter of the cup corresponds to the diameter of the “sample disk”. A punch pin is installed on the “sample disk”, the diameter of this punch pin corresponds to the diameter of the fuel grain. The device with the “sample disk” is installed into the operating element zone of the breaking machine and the punch pin is subjected to mechanical action “in reverse mode” while logging the diagram of fuel expulsion from the armoured coating of the “sample disk”, and the level of adhesive strength is measured by the applied expulsion force while taking into consideration the contact surface area between the solid fuel grain and the armoured coating.
EFFECT: creation of the effective method for measuring adhesive strength between the side armoured coating and the solid rocket fuel grain surface.
