FIELD: ultrasonic inspection.

SUBSTANCE: inspection includes the ultrasound speed measurement in concrete square section samples or round-section cylindrical samples with a height to width (or diameter) ratio equal to 4, and in construction materials; mechanical tests of concrete samples by applying cyclical and step axial pressure load up to 30% of critical load on the hydraulic press; tensometric tests measuring the increase of the elastic instant relative longitudinal deformation of concrete samples at the level of load equal to 30% of critical load; calculating the gaging dependence “ultrasound speed - concrete elasticity coefficient” based on the results of ultrasonic and tensometric measurements along with the mechanical tests of concrete samples and calculating the elasticity coefficient based on the results of ultrasonic measurements and preliminary prepared gaging dependence while defining from several concrete types the average humidity of a concrete sample, the average ultrasound speed in concrete samples, and the average elasticity coefficient with the average humidity level of the inspected zone of a construction. After that the elasticity quotient in the construction is calculated via mathematical relationships.

EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of humid concrete elasticity coefficient detection.
