FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring ultrasonic velocity in the concrete specimens predominantly saturated with moisture and frozen at a negative temperature of ambient air, plotting calibration curve of the dependence of effective diffusivity of carbon dioxide in concrete on the value of ultrasonic velocity, determining effective diffusivity of carbon dioxide from the preliminary plotted calibration curve, and calculating the ferroconcrete durability from the data obtained.
EFFECT: enhanced precision and reliability.
