SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely, gynecology, and refers to a method of forecasting the restoration of menstrual function in women with amenorrhea associated with anorexia nervosa (AN) after achieving normal body mass index (BMI) during the reduction of anorexia nervosa. The essence of the method is in the fact that patients with anorexia nervosa determined in the serum levels of interleukin-1 by method of polarization fluoroimmunoassay, and if this factor is 25.84 pg/mL or less at a normal BMI (19 to 25 kg/m²), predict the normalization menstrual function. If this factor exceeds 25.84 pg/mL with normal BMI (19 to 25 kg/m²), it is necessary the appointment of a comprehensive therapy including the using of immunomodulators and treatment with sex steroid hormones.

EFFECT: application of this method of predicting recovery of menstrual function in a timely manner will select the appropriate therapy for the treatment of this disease to help prevent the development of secondary hypogonadism, which leads to hypoplasia of the uterus and infertility in the reproductive period.
