FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gynecology, and can be used in differential diagnosis of functional hypothalamic amenorrhea (FHA) in women of reproductive age with underlying energy deficit and stress. For this purpose, women with FHA growth is measured, blood serum leptin is examined, adipose tissue is assessed by double-photon absorptiometry (DEXA). Based on the obtained data, calculating a differential index (DI) by original design formula. With value DI more than 21.4 predict high probability of presence of stress form in patient FHA. With value DI below 21.4 – FHA against background of energy deficiency.
EFFECT: method enables the most accurate diagnosis of the given pathology by detecting a leading pathogenetic development factor FHA.
